WALNUT >> Sheriff’s deputies, together with a SWAT workforce, descended on a Walnut neighborhood Thursday afternoon after stories of gunfire, finally arresting a person on suspicion of negligently firing a rifle, officers stated.
The incident started about 1:30 p.m. within the four hundred block of Camino de Gloria, north of Valley Boulevard, when deputies acquired studies of gunfire heard within the neighborhood, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. David Buckner stated.
“Upon their arrival, they heard two further volleys of photographs,” he stated.
Deputies cordoned off the neighborhood and summoned a Particular Enforcement Bureau staff to the scene.
Officers finally decided the photographs have been fired from a close-by yard, and didn’t seem to focus on anybody or something particularly, based on the lieutenant. Deputies discovered the suspected shooter strolling within the neighborhood and took him into custody with no wrestle about four:15 p.m., Buckner stated.
A .22-caliber rifle was recovered from his property, he added.
The suspect, a person of about 60 years previous, was booked on suspicion of negligently discharging a firearm, Buckner stated.
