Two New York Metropolis residents accused of robbing a Verizon Wi-fi retailer in Greenburgh then main police on a chase by way of southern Westchester have been arraigned in Greenburgh City Courtroom Wednesday. 

Diabel Samb, 32, and Mamadou Ndao, 24, have been charged with first-diploma theft, a felony. They’re due again in courtroom on Oct. 31.

The armed theft occurred within the Halfway Purchasing Middle on Central Avenue round eleven a.m. on Tuesday. The robbers took off in a white Jeep Liberty and led officers on a chase alongside a number of parkways, Westchester County police stated.

Officers pursued the Jeep onto the Bronx River Parkway, the Cross County Parkway and onto the Hutchinson River Parkway, where it got off at Sandford Boulevard, and drove into the Bronx and back into Mount Vernon.

A county police officer captured one of the suspects after a short foot pursuit at South Fifth Avenue and West Seventh Street following a minor collision between the county police car and the Jeep.

The Pelham Police Department took the other suspect into custody nearby.
