Tucson police: Man suspected of shooting woman found dead in shed

A person suspected of capturing a lady in Tucson’s midtown was discovered lifeless Tuesday night time of an obvious self-inflicted gunshot wound, police stated.

Officers discovered the person inside a shed within the 2600 block of North Edith Boulevard shortly after 10 p.m., stated Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a Tucson Police Division spokeswoman.  

About 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a capturing on Edith and located a lady who was shot.

The lady was taken to a hospital and stays in secure situation, stated Bay.

The neighborhood is north of East Grant and east of North Nation Membership roads.

Police negotiators have been speaking to the shooter who was believed to be inside the home, Bay stated. The Particular Weapons and Techniques group have been additionally referred to as to the scene.

Close by residences have been evacuated for security measures, stated Bay.

Investigators have been anticipated to stay on the scene into Wednesday morning.
