Lengthy Seashore lifeguards rescued three individuals from a fishing boat that crashed into the Lengthy Seashore breakwater amid Tuesday morning’s dense fog, however nobody was harm.

“Shortly earlier than 5 a.m., Lengthy Seashore Lifeguard rescue boats responded to a misery name for service on the Lengthy Seashore breakwater,” Brian Fisk of the Lengthy Seashore Hearth Division stated.

“An 18-foot fishing vessel with three passengers aboard collided with the wall because of heavy fog and low visibility,” Fisk stated.

Lifeguards on one of many boats rescued the individuals, who have been “clinging to the breakwall,” Fisk stated. “The opposite rescue boat carried out emergency de- watering operations for the vessel’s hull, (which) had sustained injury and was taking over water.”

The broken boat was then towed to the South Shore Launch Ramp.
