A person who was barricaded inside a home in unincorporated Whittier for almost six hours was in custody Sunday after a tense stadoff with a SWAT group, authorities stated.
Particular fees are pending for the person who was suspected of assault with a lethal weapon, stated Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division Info Bureau.
Residents in surrounding houses, who have been evacuated, have been allowed to return residence shortly after eight:30 p.m. Saturday, in accordance with Jansen.
It began at 2:25 p.m. when a sheriff’s SWAT workforce surrounded the home within the 9900 block of Bona Vista Lane and arrange a fringe after tracing the suspect to that handle, Jansen stated.
He’s being held on the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station.
