Suspicious item wrapped in black tape at Chino hospital draws bomb squad






CHINO >> Sufferers and employees returned to work after a suspicious merchandise was discovered at a Chino hospital emergency room early Thursday, officers stated.

The Ontario Hearth Division’s bomb squad was referred to as out to Chino Valley Medical Middle, 5451 Walnut Ave., round 1 a.m., the division’s Deputy Chief Mike Pelletier stated.

Officers quickly decided the merchandise was not harmful.

Following protocol, a feminine guard entered the toilet to clear it of any narcotics or weapons and located a package deal wrapped in black tape, officers stated. The guard continued to look the toilet and located a second package deal, which seemed to be a cellphone with different materials once more wrapped in black tape, hooked up to the again of the sink.

The emergency room was evacuated as Chino police, Chino Valley District and Ontario Hearth crews labored to include the scene.

Crews cleared the scene round three a.m., he stated.

No accidents have been reported and Chino police are heading the investigation into the incident.
