Shavelle Griffin, 35, was arrested early Saturday.

NYACK – A Spring Valley man has been accused of punching and robbing a Nyack lady in her residence early Saturday.

Shavelle Griffin, 35, was arrested round 12:forty five a.m. Orangetown police stated he was within the lady’s residence, the place an altercation ensued. Police didn’t say if Griffin knew the lady, or how he received into her house.

Griffin is accused of hitting the lady within the head, stealing her cellphone and fleeing. Police stated they discovered him on Fundamental Road quickly after.

Griffin was charged with third-degree robbery and first-degree criminal contempt, felonies, and a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He also faces a violation, second-degree harassment.

Griffin was arraigned in Nyack Village Court and is being held at the Rockland County jail.
