Senior prosecutor challenges Mike Ramos for DA seat




SAN BERNARDINO >> John Thomas, a 17-yr senior prosecutor with the San Bernardino County District Lawyer’s Workplace, introduced Monday morning that he’s throwing his hat into the ring for the 2018 district lawyer race.

“The present elected district lawyer is an absentee district lawyer and profession politician,” Thomas stated in a written assertion. “Mike Ramos is extra involved about his personal political agenda and profession than the job the voters of this county elected him to carry out. The time for change is right here and now.”

Ramos has served because the county’s prime prosecutor for the previous 15 years.

Ramos’ workplace had not commented on the announcement as of 6:forty five a.m. Monday.

Thomas, a Notre Dame Regulation Faculty graduate, helped create a countywide Chilly Case Murder Unit together with his workplace, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Division and different county regulation enforcement businesses in 2008. A Redlands native, he earned a bachelor’s diploma in sociology from the College of California in Riverside in 1980 and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Citrus Belt Regulation Faculty in Riverside in 1988.
