Lely Excessive Faculty went into lockdown Wednesday after employees caught wind of a rumor that a scholar had introduced a gun to the campus, in response to a Collier County Sheriff’s Workplace report.
The knowledge was discovered to be false after a deputy investigated the rumor.
The scholar, a sixteen-yr-previous boy, was confronted by a deputy in a faculty stairwell, handcuffed and searched, the Sheriff’s Workplace report states. The scholar’s bag was searched, however no gun was discovered.
The scholar was taken to an workplace for questioning, in line with the report. He stated he didn’t have a gun and didn’t perceive why he was being searched and questioned.
