PCH closed in Malibu after suspected wife beater leads police on chase, crashes


A spousal battery suspect crashed a car into one other car Monday in Malibu whereas being chased by deputies.

The collision occurred about four p.m. on Pacific Coast Freeway close to Webb Method, in response to Lt. Ed Winslow, watch commander of the sheriff’s Malibu-Misplaced Hills Station.

The alleged battery had occurred about three:30 p.m. and deputies have been on the lookout for the person, who crashed quickly after they tried to tug him over, Winslow stated.

The Los Angeles County Hearth Division took one individual to a hospital.

Winslow stated the affected person had been within the car struck by the suspect’s car.

That individual’s situation was not disclosed.

Pacific Coast Freeway can be closed in each instructions between Malibu Canyon Street and Cross Creek Street in Malibu till about 9:30 p.m. to accommodate an investigation into the crash, in response to the sheriff’s division.

Visitors was backed up on Pacific Coast Freeway in each instructions, in accordance with Malibu Emergency Providers.
