A North Naples driver was arrested Monday after witnesses informed deputies he blocked one other driver from turning and punched the driving force when he honked at him.
Thomas Bridger, fifty four, faces a misdemeanor cost of battery, in response to a Collier County Sheriff’s Workplace report.
Deputies responded to Oakes Boulevard in reference to a battery at 6:fifty five p.m. and made contact with a person and a lady who have been sitting in a black Kia.
The person advised deputies he was driving eastbound on Vanderbilt Seashore Street, approaching the intersection of Oakes Boulevard and tried to show left onto Oakes Boulevard.
However when he tried to show he observed a white truck heading westbound enter the flip lane and “cease abruptly inflicting him to cease in the midst of the intersection within the pathway of oncoming visitors,” the report states.
The person informed deputies he used his horn “hoping the truck would transfer so he might clear the intersection,” based on the report. The truck moved ahead after which stopped once more, the person informed deputies.
The person cleared the intersection, however couldn’t proceed as a result of the truck was stopped on Oakes Boulevard, in response to the report.
The driving force of the truck, later recognized as Bridger, then acquired out of his truck and approached the driving force of the Kia who lowered his window and commenced to elucidate “when Bridger with a closed fist struck” him on the left aspect of his face, the report states.
Bridger then returned to his truck and drove away, in line with the report.

There, deputies encountered Bridger, who informed them he was returning to his home after being at a fuel station.
He advised deputies he was driving westbound on Vanderbilt Seashore Street and approached the intersection with Oakes Boulevard when a automotive reduce him off and tried to steer him off the street, the report states.
Bridger advised deputies he exited his truck and approached the automotive “and that was it,” in line with the report.
The driving force and passenger of the Kia recognized Bridger as the driving force of the truck, the report states.
