Nearly 100 firefighters battle Tujunga wildland blaze

Los Angeles firefighters, assisted by county hearth models, wanted sixty eight minutes to encompass and knock down a sluggish-shifting brushfire within the Tujunga/Sunland space Friday that charred about two acres of heavy brush.

The brushfire ignited close to 11360 N. Althea Drive about 6:forty p.m., stated Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Hearth Division.

The LAFD dispatched ninety five firefighters to the scene, together with water-dropping helicopters, Bastman stated. County hearth water-dropping helicopters have been additionally despatched to battle the blaze.

Bastman stated the hearth struggle was slowed by the heavy brush within the space.

No buildings have been threatened and no accidents have been reported.

LAFD firefighters remained on the scene to mop up any hotspots which may flare up.

The reason for the hearth remained beneath investigation.
