A former upkeep employee arrested Thursday might face extra costs after he was accused of stealing jewellery valued at hundreds of dollars from houses in North Naples, a Collier County Sheriff’s Workplace arrest report states.

Mariano Rodriguez, 35, of Naples, faces felony costs of grand theft and dealing in stolen property, in line with the arrest report.  

Between Might 12 and July 21, Rodriguez allegedly accomplished 20 transactions at an area pawnshop.

He allegedly stole excessive-finish jewellery from houses on Bay Colony Drive whereas working as a upkeep worker for a water remedy firm, the report states. 

The Sheriff’s Workplace is contacting different residents on Bay Colony Drive to examine if they’ve had jewellery stolen from them between Might and July.

On July 24, a Bay Colony Drive resident reported that his Cartier watch, valued at $15,000, was lacking from his rest room counter. He added that staff have been doing upkeep work in his unit on July 20, the report states.

Rodriguez allegedly pawned the Cartier look ahead to $350 on July 21, the identical day he was accused of time card fraud and was fired, in accordance with the report. 

On July 28, deputies contacted one other resident whose unit acquired upkeep work in Might. Authorities found that three jewellery items Rodriguez pawned belonged to the proprietor.

The gadgets included a 1958 monogram ring, a gold wedding ceremony ring and a TAG Heuer watch, all value greater than $300, the report states.
