Motel murder in North Long Beach: Hunt for woman’s killer

A 29-yr-previous lady who was murdered at a motel in North Lengthy Seashore was recognized Sunday night by the coroner’s workplace as authorities hunted the person suspected of capturing her.

The sufferer was recognized as Lanette Washington of Lengthy Seashore.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s who was final seen sporting a pink shirt and denims, the Lengthy Seashore Police Division reported.

Paramedics despatched to the Luxurious Inn motel close to Lengthy Seashore Boulevard and Cambridge Road at 9:50 a.m. Friday took Washington to a hospital, the place she died, stated Nancy Pratt of the Lengthy Seashore Police Division.

The suspect fled and police arrange a fringe from Gordon and Ellington streets and Lengthy Seashore Boulevard to the Lengthy Seashore (710) Freeway, stated LBPD Officer D. Hughes.

The world was then combed by SWAT officers, assisted by Okay-9 patrols, Pratt stated.

The search was halted about 5:30 p.m. Friday and the perimeter damaged down, Pratt stated.
