Myers faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 14.

Mount Vernon police began investigating McDuffie’s death when her family reported her missing on Aug. 23, 2016. Three days later, Myers admittedĀ to police that he killed McDuffie and left her body in the woods of Seton Falls Park near 233rd Street and Monticello Avenue in the Bronx, officials said.

The New York City Medical Examiner determined that McDuffie died from asphyxia due to compression of the neck.
