A Rancho Palos Verdes killer was sentenced Monday to 6 years in jail for the dying of two nursing college students in a crash whereas driving underneath the affect of heroin.
David Scott Pedersen, 30, pleaded no contest Oct. three to 2 counts of gross vehicular manslaughter whereas intoxicated.
On Jan. 6, 2015, Pedersen was driving south on Pacific Coast Freeway when his Honda Accord veered into the northbound lanes and collided right into a Toyota Corolla heading north, killing Joseph Labori-Romero, 19, and 20-yr-previous Vanessa Carrisoza-Diaz.
A police officer who questioned Pedersen in a hospital emergency room testified that Pedersen was unaware of the collision, regardless of two damaged legs and different accidents, the Every day Breeze reported.
Labori-Romero and Carrisoza-Diaz studied nursing collectively at Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson.
