SPRING VALLEY – An undercover investigation right into a Spring Valley heroin and cocaine ring led to eight arrests final week, police stated.

Spring Valley police stated authorities spent 5 months wanting into “a community of profession criminals” who had been dealing heroin and crack cocaine within the Lakeview Village house complicated on Memorial Park Drive and South Lake Road.

The Rockland County Drug Process Drive made undercover drug offers as a part of the investigation, which led to eight arrests on Oct. 5. The duty pressure and the Spring Valley police Tactical Unit searched seventy one Lakeview Village that day and located 5.5 grams of crack cocaine and heroin, police stated.

Police said they have searched the Lakeview complex before as part of past drug investigations. “Operation Money Mike,” a heroin and cocaine investigation that led to 30 arrests in 2015, included searches of two units at Lakeview Village, police said.

Arrested were Gerald Cotton, 54, of Spring Valley; Robert Downing, 58, of Spring Valley; Marco Alarcon, 25, of Port Chester; Tara Shine, 40, of Spring Valley; Beverlyn Richardson, 40, of Monsey; Frederick DeLeon, 40, of Garnerville; Marcus Perkins, 34, of Nanuet; and Dennis Pitt, 55, of Garnerville. They were charged with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
