Hammond couple robbed in home invasion, police say


HAMMOND — An aged couple have been robbed Wednesday afternoon after three males knocked at their door and one pressured his method inside, police stated.

The three males confirmed up about 1:30 p.m. on the couple’s residence within the 1500 block of Warwick Avenue, police spokesman Lt. Richard Hoyda stated.

One of many suspects advised the husband his storage was on hearth and the suspect want to research.

The home-owner’s spouse tried to inform the lads to go away, however one pressured his method within the entrance door, police stated.

The opposite two males adopted, and one of many suspects ordered the couple to take a seat on a recliner whereas the opposite two searched the bedrooms. The husband tried to name police, however one of many suspects ripped a telephone twine from the connection, Hoyda stated.

All three males left in a car described as a silver SUV, probably a Jeep Liberty or Patriot.

One of many suspects was described as 35 to forty years previous, 6 ft tall, 250 to 275 kilos, clear shaven, with khaki pants, sun shades and a White Sox baseball cap. All three might have been Hispanic, police stated.
