Federal prosecutors have slapped gang-associated costs on a dozen males in Mount Vernon, together with for the New Yr’s Eve capturing dying of Shamoya McKenzie.
David Hardy, who already faces a murder charge in Westchester County Court for the 13-year-old basketball star’s slaying, and three other members of the Goonies gang are accused of planning to shoot a rival gang member, which led to McKenzie’s death as an innocent bystander, according to a federal indictment.
Hardy and 11 other men are facing federal charges related to their alleged involvement in the Mount Vernon gang, also known as the Goon Squad, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said today. Officials are planning to discuss the charges at an 11 a.m. press conference.
