Firefighters battle half-acre brush fire in Malibu Photo Photograph

It took Los Angeles County firefighters about an hour Saturday to place out a half-acre brush hearth on Encinal Canyon Street north of Pacific Coast Freeway, authorities stated.

It was reported at 1:sixteen p.m. on Encinal Canyon Street about 4 miles north of Pacific Coast Freeway, in accordance with a fireplace division dispatcher. The flames have been out at 2:19 p.m.

No buildings have been threatened and no accidents have been reported, the dispatcher stated.
