El Segundo police pursuit ends with 2 in custody

A person and a lady are in custody after allegedly main police in El Segundo on a car pursuit in a stolen pickup truck Saturday.

At about three:30 a.m., an officer noticed what he believed to be a suspicious and unoccupied pickup truck parked within the space of Washington Road and Palm Avenue, the El Segundo Police Division reported.

A verify on the car’s license plate revealed that it had been stolen out of Inglewood. And whereas watching the car from a distance, the officer noticed a person and a lady get into the truck and drive away.

Police say the driving force refused to tug over, and at one level made a U- activate a residential road, driving towards one of many officers however not hanging his patrol automotive.

The pursuit ended a short while later simply north of Imperial Avenue, the place the lady stayed contained in the pickup truck and the person driving the car fled the scene on foot, throughout Imperial Freeway and onto airport property.  He was captured shortly thereafter.

Police didn’t launch the names of the suspects.
