As Donald Trump and President Barack Obama made their approach to the Capitol, police have been confronting a gaggle of demonstrators sporting black in downtown Washington and utilizing what seemed to be pepper spray.

Some people have been seen smashing home windows of enterprise and car within the downtown space, over a dozen blocks away from the ceremony.

Protesters have been carrying indicators denouncing capitalism and Trump.

Police cordoned off about one hundred demonstrators who chanted “palms up, don’t shoot.”

A helicopter hovered overhead.
