NORCO >> Corona police shot and killed an assault suspect early Saturday morning after a brief pursuit into Norco, sheriff’s officers say
At 2:09 a.m., Corona cops responded to a report of a person with a gun and an assault within the 1600 block of East Sixth Road in Corona, in accordance with a Riverside County sheriff’s information launch.
These officers situated a suspect car within the assault and a pursuit started, Deputy Mike Vasquez stated.
After a number of minutes, the pursuit ended close to First Road and Parkridge Avenue in Norco when the driving force misplaced management of the car, in response to the sheriff’s information launch.
Two males exited the car. One fled on foot. The opposite produced a handgun and Corona police opened hearth. The suspect died on the scene, the discharge said.
His identification was not launched, pending notification of kin.
The person who fled was discovered a brief distance away and arrested, based on the discharge.
No officers have been injured within the incident, Vasquez stated.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Division was requested to research the incident.
