A 62-year-old Putnam Valley woman faces charges after cops say she kicked a police officer after an attempt to flee the scene of a car crash she was involved in.
Just before 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, police responded to the area of Stoney Street after receiving a report that a driver veered off the road and then onto the sidewalk before crashing and fleeing.
When police tracked down the car on Mill Street soon after, its driver — Risa Fishbein — kicked one of the cops and tried to walk away, police said.
Further investigation revealed that Fishbein’s blood alcohol concentration was higher than .08 percent and had one prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years, police said.
She was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was charged with two felony DWI charges, obstruction of governmental administration, leaving the scene of an accident and various traffic violations.
After posting $300 bail, Fishbein was released pending a Jan. 4 court appearance.
