A fifty one-yr-previous man whose minivan broke down on Interstate 215 in Menifee was trying to sprint throughout the freeway for a second time when he was struck and fatally injured, the California Freeway Patrol reported Monday.
Juan Escutia Herrera of San Bernardino was pronounced lifeless minutes after being struck about 9:20 p.m. Saturday on the northbound 215 at Keller Street.
CHP Officer Mike Lassig stated Herrera’s minivan had stalled on the surface shoulder of the southbound 215, close to Clinton Keith Street. He and his passenger, a person whose identify was not launched, received out and efficiently ran throughout the northbound aspect of the freeway.
