‘Careless cooking,’ ignites blaze in Panorama City home; 5 left homeless

‘Careless cooking” ignited a kitchen hearth in a single-story house in Panorama Metropolis Saturday that left 5 individuals, together with two youngsters, briefly displaced.

Hearth investigators would supply no additional element into what exactly induced the hearth.

Firefighters dispatched at 9:22 a.m. to 8134 Sylmar Ave. had the hearth out at 9:34 a.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Hearth Division stated. No accidents have been reported.

Officers had but to tabulate any injury estimates.
