10 Freeway closes in both directions due to police activity east of Los Angeles

Visitors movement resumed on the freeway between Blythe and Indio , following a police chase of an errant leisure car that ended underneath musterious circumstances.

The California Freeway patrol was mum on precisely why Interstate 10 was closed in each instructions, with no detour obtainable, at 10:39 a.m. on the Eagle Mountain Street interchange close to Chiriaco Summit.

The incident described solely as “police exercise” — a time period generally used for a police capturing, armed standoff or investigation of a critical incident.

Caltrans spokeswoman Terri Kasinga stated the incident started when an RV was noticed being pushed erratically in Banning, about 70 miles from the closure scene. A CHP unit tried to cease the RV in Palm Springs, and chased it midway to Arizona.
